Registering

To purchase Rent Guarantee Insurance, you must first register.

Registration is FREE for ALL landlords

We ask you to provide your full name, address and contact details.

Once you have completed the simple registration process you will receive a user name and password which will enable you to access the service.

Purchasing

Our system has been designed to help you arrange cover for ALL of your qualifying agreements online with a minimum of fuss. It has been designed to be very straightforward and self explanatory, but here are a few tips to help you get the most out of the system.

Get a Quote

Once you have registered your interest you can either proceed immediately to get your quote or you can return to do this at a more convenient time. On this screen you will also find buttons allowing you to add or amend tenancies, view policies that you have already purchased or amend your registration details.

Enter Property Details

All you need is the full postcode and house name / number and our system will find and complete the rest.

Enter Tenancy Details

You will be asked to confirm

That your tenancy agreement is an AST of at least 6 months
Start Date of Tenancy
Start date of Rent Guarantee Policy
Whether it is a joint or single tenancy
That each tenant to be covered has passed a FULL NLA Tenant Check
Your Annual Rental Income
That you have taken a deposit
That you have protected this deposit
How long the policy is to run

Enter Tenant Check Reference

Each tenant to be covered must be entered into the system along with the reference number that you received from NLA Tenant Check. Please ensure that you have this to hand before you reach this stage as you cannot save your quote at this point and come back later

Read and Accept Statement of Fact

This, together with your schedule and policy wording, forms the basis of your insurance contract. It is important that you read this and the Terms & Conditions and agree to accept these before proceeding as failure to abide by these once your policy is in place could invalidate your policy and will jeopardize your ability to make a claim at a later date.

Enter NLA Membership Number and Security Code to receive your discount

Now that you have your quotation on screen you have the option to save the details or buy cover, however you also have the option to add your NLA Membership number and security code in order to further reduce the premium you pay. The system will validate your membership number immediately.

Make Payment

If you are happy with your quote you can buy cover immediately. Payment is by credit card only and is processed online using our secure credit card payment system.

Check your email for your policy documents

An email will be sent to you confirming that your policy is now in place and attaching all of your policy documents (Schedule, Policy Wording, Invoice and our Terms of Business). Your payment receipt will be sent under a separate email

Cooling Off Period

Naturally we want you to be completely satisfied with your NLA Rent Guarantee Insurance Policy, and whilst we clearly show the Terms & Conditions on our website and ask you to note that you have read and accepted these we know that it is often easier to read hard copies of documents. To give you further protection and peace of mind our policy carries a 14 day “Cooling Off” period to give you adequate time to read the policy wording thoroughly and ensure that you fully understand and comply with the Terms & Conditions. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the cover that you have purchased you can, within 14 days of the purchase date, inform us that you wish to cancel your cover and we will refund your premium in full without question.

What support do I have?

As NLA Rent Guarantee Insurance is only available to purchase on-line we cannot assist with queries regarding the suitability of this cover. If you are uncertain as to whether this cover meets your demands and needs we would firstly ask you to read the policy wording. If you remain unclear having done this we would urge you to seek independent advice before purchasing.
